These terms are the agreement between you and AeroEdge. They cover your account, what you pay, how to cancel, who owns what, and the limits of what an aerodynamic measurement can tell you. We have kept them short and specific. If something here is unclear, email us and we will answer plainly.
AeroEdge is operated by SpeedEdge Performance Inc., registered in Ontario, Canada. In these terms, "AeroEdge", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company, and "you" refers to the person or organisation using the service.
Contact: speededgeperformanceb@gmail.com.
AeroEdge analyses cycling ride files to estimate aerodynamic drag (CdA) and related quantities, and turns those estimates into race predictions and pacing plans. It reads wind directly from supported sensors, and models it from weather data and the ride itself when no sensor is present.
By using the service you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a team, club or business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account.
AeroEdge has a free tier and paid subscriptions. Current plans and prices are shown on the plans page, which is the authoritative source; the summary below is for orientation.
| Plan | Billing |
|---|---|
| Free | No charge. Includes a result from a ride file and a race time, subject to fair-use limits. |
| Athlete | Monthly subscription for one rider. |
| Coach (Starter, Growth, Pro) | Monthly or yearly subscription, bounded by the athlete seat limit of the tier. |
Free trial. Paid plans begin with a 7 day free trial. You provide a payment method when you subscribe, no charge is taken during the trial, and the first charge is taken automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the price then shown on the plans page, until cancelled.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. Prices are shown in euro and exclude any taxes that may apply to you.
Price changes. We may change prices, but not during a period you have already paid for. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects your renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Failed payments. If a payment fails we may suspend access to paid features until it is resolved. Your data is retained during that period.
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not give partial or pro rata refunds for unused time in a period that has begun, and we do not refund yearly plans part way through the year, except where section 5.1 or the law requires it.
Cancelling a coach plan also ends the coverage it provided to your linked athletes, so those athletes lose paid access at the end of the period unless they subscribe themselves.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, without giving a reason.
Because AeroEdge gives you access to digital content immediately, you are asked at checkout to request that performance begin at once and to acknowledge that doing so ends your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied. If you do not give that consent, your access begins after the 14 day period.
Where the right still applies, tell us within 14 days at speededgeperformanceb@gmail.com and we will refund you within 14 days of being informed, using the same payment method.
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of your own country. Where those rights conflict with anything written here, those rights win.
Your data stays yours. Ride and sensor files, GPX courses, bike-fit reports, measurements and the results computed from them belong to you. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store, process, analyse and display that data back to you and to anyone you have chosen to share it with.
We may use aggregated and de-identified information (statistics that cannot reasonably identify you or your rides) to improve the physics models and the product. We do not sell your personal data. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Our software stays ours. AeroEdge, its physics models, source code, interface and branding remain our property. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing. You may use the reports and figures AeroEdge produces for your own purposes, including commercially with your own athletes and clients.
You must not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape or redistribute the service itself, or use it to build a competing product.
A professional can invite an athlete by email, and the athlete accepts from their own account. While a link is active, the professional can read and edit that athlete's sessions, runs and bikes, and can delete them.
This section matters more than most, so we are direct about it.
AeroEdge produces estimates from a physical model, not laboratory measurements. Their quality depends on the data you supply: the accuracy of your power meter, the quality of the GPS and elevation record, whether a wind sensor was fitted, the road surface, the weather, and how carefully the test was ridden. Where we can quantify the uncertainty on a result, we show it, and where a result cannot be supported by the data we say so instead of producing a number.
You should treat AeroEdge output as decision support, not fact. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for an equipment purchase, a race strategy, a contractual claim to a third party, or any other decision with financial or competitive consequences, without applying your own judgement.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty that results will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose.
AeroEdge does not provide medical, physiological or nutritional advice. Physiological figures such as critical power or lactate thresholds are estimates for planning, not clinical measurements.
Aerodynamic field testing usually means riding at speed, often in a time-trial position, and frequently on open roads. You are solely responsible for your own safety and for obeying the law.
We accept no liability for injury, damage or loss arising from how you choose to ride.
Do not: upload data you have no right to upload; attempt to access another user's account or data; probe, disrupt or overload the service; use automated tools to extract data in bulk; circumvent usage limits or paywalls; or use AeroEdge for anything unlawful.
Uploads are subject to a file size limit and to fair-use rate limits, which we may adjust to keep the service stable for everyone.
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. Deletion cascades: your sessions, runs, bikes, courses and profile are removed, as described in the Privacy Policy. It cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or where required by law. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. If we terminate your account without cause while you are paid up, we will refund the unused part of your current period.
We aim to keep AeroEdge available and improving, but we do not guarantee any particular uptime. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. Some features are labelled as being in testing; those are experimental, may be inaccurate, and may be removed.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give you reasonable notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use AeroEdge after that date means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can cancel.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost race results, lost data, or wasted expenditure on equipment or events, arising from your use of AeroEdge.
Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or European Economic Area, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts there. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a right straight away does not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, without reducing your rights.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
